Mrs. Anita Kay Robinson, 67, passed from this life on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond, LA with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 7, 1954 in Magnolia, MS, to Clarence Honea and Ina Mae Freeman Honea.
Mrs. Anita was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and a friend to many. She enjoyed a multitude of crafts, especially sewing. "NeeNee" looked forward to any time that she could spend with her grandkids, nieces, and nephews and their many activities. She was fond of traveling and made many memories with her husband and daughter. Spring was her favorite time of year when she would spend many hours with her flower gardens. There was a special place in her heart for Percival, her four legged companion. She retired from the United States Postal Service after twenty plus years as a postal clerk.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Bobby Joe Hale; and one daughter, Bobbie Jones.
She is survived by her husband of twenty five years, Bill Robinson; one sister, Joni Wilkinson and her husband Price Wilkinson; three brothers, Gerald Honea and his wife Billie Jo Honea, Billy Honea and his wife Tammy Honea, and Charlie Honea and his wife Julie Honea; one daughter, Jessica Hale Verburg and her husband Hoyt Verburg; four grandchildren, Ashley Jones, Wyatt Dunn, Lily Verburg, and Hale Verburg; a special family friend, Christy Leuthauser; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Josh Honea, Judd Honea, Alex Honea, Chad Robinson, Tyler Robinson, Jason Daniel, Chris Boyd, and Ryan Nelson.
Honorary pallbearers are Blake Robinson and Chris Fava.
A visitation will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Sharkey Funeral Home beginning at 5:00 until 8:00 and will continue Monday, May 2, 2022 beginning at 10:00 until time of service at 11:00. A graveside service will immediately follow at Honea-Anderson Family Cemetery on Hamp Lea Road in Magnolia, MS. Bro. Larry Leblanc will officiate with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
