Amandy Newman Dickerson, 61, of Jayess, passed away, Friday January 18, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. She was born April 30, 1957 in McComb.

She was the daughter of Robert and Louise Newman. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and working outdoors in the yard and garden.She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joseph Dickerson and two brothers, Robert Newman and Kenny Newman.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Larry Don Dickerson of Jayess; one son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Dawn Tarver of Jayess; five sisters, Paulette Andrews of McComb, Margaret Stockton of LA, Diane Pollard of Texas, Marilyn Carter of Conners, GA and Hazel Hensley of Sontag and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Monday, January 21, 2019 at Union Primitive Baptist Church, 3970 SE Primitive Drive, Ruth, MS 39662 from 9 AM until services at 11 AM with Elder Mickey Myers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Sharkey Funeral Home, Summit, MS.
