Mrs. Alma Frances Brister passed from this life on December 17, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born June 30, 1952, in Jackson MS to Jack and Modina Ragan.

She enjoyed tending to her flower beds, gardening and spending time with her family. She also loved to make her famous pound cake and biscuits. Frances always had a lifelong best friend, Vivian Fonger, who if you knew them, they were two peas in a pod. If you ever wanted to see her smile, just talk about all the grandbabies. She was a loving mother and always provided love and support for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Modina Ragan, her sisters, Jackie Smart and Anna Louise Ragan and a brother Peter Ragan.

She is survived by her daughter Ragan Price, son Thad Tibbs (Monica), sisters Martha Legaspi and Sarah Bryant (John), a niece Nicole Fonger and many grandchildren, Robert Tibbs (Skye), Cameron Tibbs (Kayla), Logan Tibbs, Kinsley Scoggins, Cohen Price and Kase Price, great grandchildren, Saylor, Saint, Greyson, Raelyn, and Colton and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Robert Tibbs, Cameron Tibbs, Logan Tibbs, Ricky Lawrence, Brad Whitaker and Branden Gentry

Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Brister will be on December 20th, 2023, at Union Primitive Baptist Church of Ruth MS at 11 AM with burial to follow in the Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Micky Myers will be officiating the services with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Sharkey Funeral Home on December 19, 2023 from 5 PM until 8 PM and from 9 AM until 11AM at Union Primitive Baptist Church.
