Alma Jean Boyd, 86 of Jayess, MS passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Billdora Senior Care in Tylertown, MS. She was born Tuesday, October 25, 1938 in Jayess, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM Enon Cemetery in Jayess, MS.  Bro. Tommy Boyd will officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-276-7475

She worked for 40 years at Kellwood in Monticello. Alma was a caregiver to her mother and father. She enjoyed taking care of her sisters, Voncille and Mary.  Alma enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was known to do anything for anyone and known as a caring soul.  She loved her savior and attending Gospel Assembly Church until she became disabled.  Alma loved bluegrass and gospel music.  She enjoyed singing with her sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Boyd; mother, Johnnie Lee Wallace Boyd; brothers, Vonque Boyd, Jimmy John Boyd; sisters, Charlene Boyd Gibson, Veta Nell Boyd Bates, Sharon Boyd, Voncille Boyd Williams.

Survivors include her siblings; Mary Boyd Philips of Jayess, MS, Helen Boyd Alexander of Summit, MS, Rocky Boyd (Barbara) of McComb, MS; Gracie Boyd Herring (Robert) of Beeville, TX and Annie Boyd Reid (Wayne) of Pearl, MS.
