Obituary

Albert David Lindsey, 94, died on January 27, 2024, at his home in McComb, MS. He was born on April 27, 1929, in Macomb, Illinois to Dr. Albert J. Lindsey and Bernice Bainter Lindsey. After high school he was a member of the Merchant Marines then later joined the Air Force during the Korean War where he met his wife of 60 years, Theresa S. Lindsey. Upon returning to civilian life, he worked with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for over 40 years. His greatest joy was leading all his children to the saving knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ, the covenant blessing passed down from his father, Dr. Albert J. Lindsey, a Presbyterian pastor for 50 years.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Summit. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 11:00 am at New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Summit. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb. Rev. Brian McCollough will officiate.  Pallbearers will be grandsons: Dustin Long, Lucas Lindsey, Travis Long, Michael Lindsey, Andrew Lindsey and Mark Lindsey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Duhs, Lindsey Duhs, Seth Duhs, Luther Reece, Pymm West and Ken Sheppard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa S. Schneider Lindsey; father, Dr. Albert J. Lindsey; mother, Bernice Louise Bainter Lindsey and sister, Mary Alice Lindsey Duhs.

He is survived by his church family, New Covenant PCA in Summit, MS; and a loving family: his two daughters, Karen J. Lindsey of Jackson, MS and Bonnie L. Long of Hallsville, TX; three sons: David Paul Lindsey and wife Lynette of Franklinton, LA; John D Lindsey and wife Jennifer of Oviedo, FL; Daniel P. Lindsey of Reno, NV; grandchildren: Leah L. Simpson, Dustin Long, Lucas Lindsey, Travis Long, Alainna L. Holmes, Michael Lindsey, Kristen Lindsey, Andrew Lindsey, Mark Lindsey and Bree Haralson; great grandchildren: Rafe, Liam and Emmitt Simpson; Asher and Abram Holmes; Briel and Hadleigh Lindsey; his beloved sister's children: Michael Duhs, Debbie Griffith, Becky Chaplin, Lindsey Duhs, and their families.

Albert David was blessed with an abundance of grace and enjoyed a life full of joy. He loved his beef and dairy farm in Louisiana, horses, biking, and travelling to Christian conferences. He was a wonderful, loving patriarch whose daily prayers covering his whole family by name will be greatly missed.
