Abigail (Abby) Rachel Pickard, 24, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Abby was born on February 11, 1998, in McComb, MS to Terry Pickard and Melanie Greer Pickard.

Abby graduated as salutatorian from North Pike High School in 2016, Summa Cum Laude from Mississippi State University with a BS in Kinesiology in 2020, and Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Nursing from the University of South Florida in August 2022.

Abby was moving home from Florida to begin her nursing career at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, LA.

She was loved by everyone who knew her and she has been described by so many as luminescent and pure. Abby always saw the good in everyone she met and never hesitated to express her compassion and warmth. Those who had the pleasure to know her, even briefly, were always left comforted by her presence.

Abby was preceded in death by her grandfather, Clifford Ladelle Pickard, her uncle, David Pickard, and her grandfather, Jesse Greer.

Abby is survived by her parents, grandmothers, Mollie Greer and Lillian Lanelle Pickard, sister, Hannah (Koty) Cox, brother, Saul (Morgan) Pickard, and twin sister, Bethany Pickard (Danielle Dennis), nephews, Reeves and Myles Pickard, aunt, Charlotte Williams, uncle David (Kim) Greer, cousins, Breanna (Scott) Burris, Heather (Lee) Fortenberry, Jason (Tonia) Williams, Colby and Keely Fortenberry, Caden Williams, and a nephew who is expected in 2023.

Abby is also survived by the love of her life, Vong Chau.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 2PM until 5PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS. This will be an informal gathering to remember Abby.
